Our Malay Kuih

We love our Malay ‘kuih’!

‘Kuih’ is a Malay word to describe bite-sized snacks: cakes, biscuits, bread and porridge. ‘Kuih’ is used generically to mean Malay desserts. Other words describing ‘kuih’ are ‘penganan’ and ‘kudapan’.

This blog site contains recipes of 120 Malay ‘kuih’. They are arranged alphabetically (from A to W, there is no Z kuih). This blog is an accompaniment of  our book, ‘Kuih: From Apam to Wajik, a Pictorial Guide to Malay Desserts’.
